Here in our state, we’ve got this classic winter activity — whale watching. They hang out along our coast in big numbers during the colder months, then head north for summer. You can spot them from the shore, but it’s way better out on the water. So, they run special little cruises for it.
Yep, I went on one of those cruises — four hours on a big boat cruising around Phillip Island. We saw so many whales, I started to wonder if they were the ones on a cruise… checking us out. Didn’t manage to see a whole whale, mostly just backs and tails. Still, pretty awesome!
And yep, there were loads of seals at Seal Rocks too. Heaps of them. But I already did the seal-watching trip in summer and sent that photo album around back then.

Есть в нашем штате тако зимнее развлечение, как смотреть на китов. Зимой они тусуются в больших количествах у нашего побережья, а летом отправляются севернее. Китов можно увидеть и с берега, но с воды конечно же лучше. Для этого устраивают специальные мини круизы.
