Southbank — the south bank of the Yarra River — is basically the face of Melbourne, kind of like the Opera House is for Sydney. It’s the Melbourne you see on postcards.
It’s a waterfront promenade made for walking. Along it, you’ve got skyscrapers with offices, apartments, and the Crown Casino (which they say is the richest and most prestigious in the Southern Hemisphere). Down at street level, there are restaurants, pubs, fancy shops and all that. Locals love Southbank and are always out enjoying it.
Of course, I’ve already photographed it plenty of times — morning, day and night. But I’d never tried it with an infrared camera before. Fixed that now:

Инфракрасный Southbank
Southbank (южный берег реки Ярры) - это лицо Мельбурна, его визитная карточка как Оперный театр в Сиднее. Southbank - это Мельбурн на открытках.
