On Saturday, for some reason I found myself 150 km out of Melbourne, down on the Wilsons Promontory peninsula. Fun fact—it’s the southernmost point of mainland Australia. That alone makes it interesting, but the place is also absolutely stunning. There are mountains, rivers, and beaches with white sand that actually squeaks under your feet.
It’s a pretty popular spot too—there’s even a little holiday town there called Tidal River. That’s where I headed.
I was packing two cameras—my new one for regular shots, and my old one that’s been converted for infrared. So I was wandering around with both. People were giving me these respectful looks...

В субботу черт меня понес за 150 км от Мельбурна на полуостров Wilsons Promontory. Кстати, это самая южная точка Австралийского континента. Оно само по себе интересно, но и место потрясающе красивое. Там и горы и реки и пляжи с белым скрипучим песком. Место очень популярное, там даже построен городок для отдыхающих - Tidal River. Вот туда я и поехал.
